Why wear an abaya? Our vision of modesty and elegance

Wearing an abaya is not just following a trend: it's choosing modesty without sacrificing elegance. At Abayina, this idea guides each of our creations — our goal is to preserve a woman's modesty while enhancing her beauty.

What is Mastour?

In Arabic, mastour refers to what is veiled, preserved, protected from view. Applied to clothing, it's the idea that a loose-fitting and covering garment allows the silhouette to remain discreet, without ever sacrificing refinement. It is this philosophy that we strive to convey in each of our abayas.

A cut designed for modesty: the example of the Abaya Qamar and the Abaya Noor

Take our Abaya Qamar and our Abaya Noor: both share the same flared cut at the bottom, which is not just an aesthetic detail. By gradually widening towards the hem, this cut prevents the fabric from outlining the figure with movement, while giving the gait an elegant fluidity. Combined with a light nida fabric, it offers a drape that fully covers without ever weighing down the outfit.

Modesty and elegance: a balance, not a choice

It is sometimes thought that one must choose between modesty and style. At Abayina, we don't see things that way: a well-designed loose cut, quality material, and a few carefully chosen details (lace, embroidery, finishes) are enough to achieve a piece that is both modest and refined. This is the brand's DNA: preserving a woman's modesty by combining it with elegance.
